Our litters grow up in our Plateau-Mont-Royal apartment, somewhere between the comings and goings of the outdoor staircase and the hum of Mont-Royal Avenue. Every puppy leaves fully ready for real city life — never before 12 weeks.

We never have more than three litters a year — and rarely more than four puppies at once. In an apartment, that isn't a marketing line, it's a matter of space and attention. Every puppy is handled several times a day, sleeps close to us, and discovers the world from our living room rather than a pen.
Our girls live with us year-round, for good. They aren't "production units": they're Nova, Comète and Étoile, who will each have two or three litters in their lifetime before retiring, thoroughly spoiled, on our couch.

Health tested, never just promised
Our breeding dogs complete the screenings recommended for the breed — patella, heart and eyes — before every mating. We never breed below the breed's healthy weight standard to produce smaller puppies.
Socialized for real city life
Elevators, outdoor staircases, bikes, visitors, other pets: our puppies meet the city starting in week three. A calm chihuahua in the middle of Mont-Royal Avenue is built, not born that way.
Support for life, no exceptions
We stay reachable long after your puppy leaves — sleep, house-training, socializing, feeding. And if you ever can't keep your dog, they come back to us. Always, no matter their age.
One breed. Two coats, one standard.
We breed chihuahuas exclusively, in both coat varieties — smooth and long — and we never breed below the breed's standard just to produce smaller puppies.
A healthy adult chihuahua typically weighs between 1.5 and 3 kg. Below that threshold, the risks climb — hypoglycemia, fragile bones, complications at birth. "Teacup" isn't a recognized variety: it's a marketing shortcut, and it's not one we take.

You write to us
Tell us about your household: apartment or house, children, other pets, experience with small dogs. We reply within one or two days, honestly — sometimes to tell you a chihuahua wouldn't suit you.
We meet
A visit to our apartment by appointment, even before a litter is born. You meet the mothers and see where the puppies grow up. A breeder who won't let you visit is telling you something.
Reservation and matching
A $500 deposit confirms your place on the litter. Puppy–family matching happens around week eight, based on the temperaments we observe — not on a first-come basis, and not on the colour you picked from a photo.
Going home at 12 weeks, never before
The time it takes for their weight and blood sugar to stabilize. Your puppy leaves vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped and examined by our veterinarian, with a health record, some transition food and a blanket that smells like the litter.
Étoile's litter is due at the end of summer.
Our puppies are almost always spoken for before they're born. If you're thinking about welcoming a chihuahua this year, now's the time to write — even if nothing is certain yet.
